A spinning wheel / balanced national development

Twenty years ago, when I didn't have enough jobs in my local city, I went on an expedition to the metropolitan area. The commuting distance was a little less than 100 kilometers, but the roads were nice, so it was okay to get around. If it was 40 years ago, it was a distance that a person who had left his hometown far away would say that there was no news until autumn was approaching. As transportation developed, the sense of distance was getting shorter.

While running the bus in the new city, I saw that residents were paying for economic costs for apartments on the dozens of floors that would not be reconstructed because they were close to Seoul. Some say that the political community created the new city with the intention of revitalizing the economy. However, the negative effect of not creating jobs to revitalize the economy began to emerge. The new city close to Seoul is becoming more like the local city where I lived without jobs. The residents of the new city dreamed of an eternal future by selling apartments that were several times more expensive than local cities without considering the development of transportation and communication.

Seven years ago, I persuaded bus passengers in a new town I was close to to to escape from a desolate new town with no cultural facilities and no natural scenery, build a house in the local city where I live, and spend their old age with the rest of their money. I also advised them that the real estate bubble will definitely be extinguished. However, it seems to have been said to go far away from home and watch the spinning wheel. They asked me how to live in that harsh place.

In fact, the phenomenon of people flocking to the metropolitan area is due to the great ills of our society, class-oriented or upward-oriented desire. The reason why young people don't get married is that they think it's better not to have children unless they can put their children on that high.

It is not too late, so the government should stop planning new towns and invest its capabilities in transportation-related infrastructure to stimulate the economy. As transportation develops, jobs that create economic added value will also be created in provincial areas. Then the local population will also increase. Only when the provinces revive can Korea live.

The government had to intentionally create an era in which words centered on Seoul, such as Daechi-dong, Hongdae Street, and Gangnam Style, became meaningless, but now time is creating a path for all of us to annihilate.
