Not long ago, North Korean President Kim Jong-un said he had done as much as he could during the negotiations between the U.S. and North Korea during Trump's first term. Perhaps it was an expression of killing a lot of pride. North Korea is a country that is supported by pride. Ideological thinking does not find a solution, but profit-seeking thinking always finds a solution. That is why capitalism overwhelmed communism. It has been proven that capitalism for its own benefit is the way to collapse, but capitalism as a win-win game is an eternal progress.

 

The Trump administration seems to be the best time for North Korean President Kim Jong-un to negotiate with the United States with a sense of purpose for the people. President Trump's pragmatic perspective also seems to have played a part in the fact that President Putin and President Trump have some buffer space. In this regard, North Korea's dispatch of troops to Russia may not be a major obstacle to negotiations between the U.S. and North Korea.

 

President Park Chung-hee of Korea suffered a lot of humiliation as the leader of a poor country while visiting other countries in the early stages of economic development. The Thai king made an insulting remark to President Park Chung-hee that the president of a poor country was not healthy. However, there is an anecdote that President Park Chung-hee responded with an answer full of confidence and a sense of duty that Korea will soon overwhelm Thailand. It may not be difficult to have a pragmatic attitude if you know the purpose properly.

 

President Kim Jong Un should focus on President Trump and the win-win game. Everyone has done that and that is normal.

 

The ideological nature of President Park Chung-hee should be considered the opposing point of President Kim Il-sung, despite the fact that far-rights are extremely revered in Korea. That's how Cold War ideas always flow. In the early stages of economic development, President Park Chung-hee and President Kim Il-sung had a clear sense of purpose: post-war restoration and economic development. 얼마전 북한의 김정은 위원장은 트럼프 1기 북미협상때 갈 때까지 다 갔다고 말하였다. 아마도 자존심을 많이 죽였다는 표현 같았다. 북한은 자존심으로 지탱하고 있는 국가다. 남들은 이해할 수 없지만 지리학을 많이 공부한 내가 생각하는 북한이란 나라는 참으로 존재하기 힘든 지리적 여건을 가지고 있다. 그러나 굳건히 버텨오고 있는 것도 사실이다.

그러나 어느날 좁은 지역사회에서 막노동을 하다가 그 복장 그대로 일찍 자리잡은 친구의 상점에 들어가서 친구를 찾았다. 나이 많은 종업원은 겨우 막노동꾼이 사장님의 이름을 함부로 부른다고 핀잔을 주었다. 그날 그 이야기를 들은 북한의 함경도 태생인 나의 모친은 혹독하고 강한 훈계를 나에게 하였다. “비웃음이 배를 째고 들어오는 것이 아니다.”그날 이후 나는 여러 가지 일을 하는데 있어서 체면을 생각하지 않았다. 나는 대단히 실용적인 사람이 되었다.

 

트럼프 대통령은 실용주의자다. 사업가 출신이기 때문이다. 그에겐 이익이 진리이다. 비정해 보이지만 현재와 같은 이념세계에서는 유일한 대안이다. 이념적 사고는 해결책을 찾지 못하지만 이익을 추구하는 사고는 해결책을 반드시 찾는다. 그래서 자본주의가 공산주의를 압도한 것이다. 자신만의 이익을 위한 자본주의는 멸망의 길이라는 사실도 입증되었지만 상생(win-win game)으로서의 자본주의는 영원한 진보이다.

 

북한의 김정은 위원장이 인민을 위한다는 목적의식을 가지고 미국과 협상을 하기 위해서는 트럼프 행정부 시기가 최적의 시기인 것 같다. 푸틴 대통령과 트럼프 대통령이 어느 정도 완충적 공간을 지니고 있음도 트럼프 대통령의 실용주의적인 관점이 한 몫 한 것 같다. 이 점에서 북한의 러시아 파병은 북미협상에 큰 걸림돌이 되지 않을 수도 있을 것이다.

 

한국의 박정희 대통령은 경제개발 초기에 다른 국가를 순방하면서 가난한 나라의 지도자로서 많은 굴욕을 겪었다. 태국 국왕에게는 가난한 나라의 대통령이 건방지다는 모욕적인 언사를 들었다. 그러나 곧 한국은 태국을 압도하는 나라가 될 것이라는 자신감과 사명감이 넘치는 답변으로 응수했다는 일화가 있다. 목적을 제대로 알면 실용주의적인 태도를 갖는 것은 어렵지 않을 것 같다.

 

김정은 위원장은 트럼프 대통령과 win-win game에 집중을 해야 할 것 같다. 누구나 다 그래왔고 그것이 정상이다.

 

한국에서는 극우주의자들이 박정희 전 대통령을 극도로 추앙하는 일이 많은데, 박정희 대통령의 이념적 성질은 김일성 주석의 대척점이라고 생각해야 한다. 냉전시대의 사고는 항상 그렇게 흘러간다. 박정희 대통령과 김일성 주석의 공통점은 경제개발의 초창기에 전후복구와 경제개발이라는 목적의식이 뚜렷했다는 점이다. 그러나 김일성 주석은 공산주의 이념의 불통성과 완전한 일인 집권국가의 특성상 박정희 대통령보다 학식있는 인재들의 도움을 받지 못했다는 문제가 있다. 생각해 보면 북한은 빨리 경제개발에 필요한 학식있는 인력과 기술인력을 갖추어야 할 것이다.  

Make your dream come true with a sense of purpose

There was a person who lived in poverty, owning an expensive car for his situation. In Korea, such a person is called a carpoor. He dreamed of owning a Porsche car all his life. Even though he was an ordinary office worker, he invested everything in a Porsche car. So he achieved his dream. Anyway, he achieved his dream. What happened after that is not my business. The Porsche came back into the used car market because it could not beat the high interest of capital finance. However, for a moment, there was a person who achieved his dream of having a Porsche.

 

I have been worried about my extremely poor physique ever since I was born. I haven't gained any weight at all. But compared to my physique, I have strength, so I lived a good life. However, I lived a life suffering from prejudice by people who value appearance. However, I admired Ho Chi Minh's skinny picture. Ho Chi Minh's picture made me think that if I have a strong sense of purpose, anchovies can act as whales. (Really?-Gore? -It's a bit like the pronunciation of a whale in Korean.)

Recently, I was forced to increase my physique because I couldn't stand it. I have invested a lot for more than a year. Active costs are also a problem, but opportunity costs for things that had to be given up, such as purpose, fitness, and passion, were also high. But there were people who were even worse than me.

The head of the North Korean government put on too much weight. It was going to gain charisma and lose health. I was worried about the reality. This is because the physical and mental health of the leader is fully reflected in national policy under a one-man rule.

One day, a Korean presidential candidate appeared on the air with the letter "king" in his palm. At that moment, it became dark. I started to think that it was hard to trust Korea's future. There must have been many self-fulfilling prophecies among religious people around the president. In any case, he became the president. Presidents are known to have received advice from many religious people or similar religious people - I have always talked about the politics of live-action because of these issues.

Yes, everyone lives to achieve their dreams. It is not difficult to achieve your dreams. You can give up on other things and focus on them. What is really important is to have a sense of purpose why you have to achieve your dreams. And don't ignore the things you need to insight and think about. A national leader should not pursue his own career, but rather take care of the lives of his or her people.

To achieve your dream, you have to think about why you got that dream.

네 꿈을 (제대로) 이루어라

어느 카푸어가 있었다. 자신은 평생 포르쉐 자동차를 소유하는 것이 꿈이었다. 그래서 평범한 직장인임에도 포르쉐 자동차에 자신의 모든 것을 투자했다. 그래서 꿈을 이루었다. 어쨌던 꿈을 이룬 것이다. 그 뒤의 일은 내가 알 바 아니다. 그 포르쉐는 캐피탈 금융의 높은 이자를 이기지 못해 다시 중고차 시장에 나왔다. 그러나 잠깐이지만 포르쉐를 갖고 싶다는 꿈을 이룬 사람이 있었던 것이다.

 

나는 태어날 때부터 지나치게 빈약한 체격이 고민이었다. 그 흔한 나이살도 찌지 않았다. 그런데 체격에 비해서 힘도 있는 편이고 해서 그럭 저럭 살았다. 그러나 외모를 중시하는 사람들의 편견에 시달리며 살았다. 하지만 베트남 민족지도자 호치민의 깡마른 모습의 사진은 존경스러웠다. 호치민의 사진은 목적의식이 투철하면 멸치도 고래역할을 할 수 있다는 생각을 하게 만들었다. (고뤠?)

 

근래 도저히 못 참겠다 싶어 체격을 강제로 늘렸다. 1년 이상을 많은 것을 투자했다. 적극적인 비용도 문제지만 목적의식 체력 건강 열정등 포기해야 하는 것들의 기회비용도 만만치 않았다. 그런데 나보다 더한 사람들도 있었다.

 

북한의 정부 수반은 되쌩(무척이라는 평안도 사투리) 체중을 늘렸다. 카리스마는 얻고 건강을 잃게 될 것이었다. 나는 그 현실이 걱정이었다. 1인 집권 체제에서 지도자의 신체적 정신적 건강은 국가정책에 온전히 반영되기 때문이다.

 

어느 날 한국의 대통령 후보가 손바닥에 ‘왕’자를 써서 방송에 나왔다. 순간 앞이 캄캄해졌다. 한국의 미래에 대해서 신뢰하기 힘들다는 생각이 들기 시작했다. 대통령 주변에 종교인들의 자기실현적 예언도 많았던 모양이다. 어쨌든 대통령이 되었다. 시중에는 대통령들이 많은 종교인 또는 유사 종교인들의 조언을 받았던 것으로 알려져 있다. - 나는 항상 이런 문제 때문에 실사구시의 정치를 이야기 해왔다.

 

그렇다 누구나 꿈을 이루기 위해 산다. 꿈을 이루는 것은 어렵지 않다. 다른 것을 포기하고 집중하면 된다. 정작 중요한 것은 왜 꿈을 이루어야 하는지 목적의식을 갖는 것이다. 그리고 통찰하고 고민해야 할 것들을 무시하지 말아야 한다. 국가 지도자는 자신의 출세가 꿈이 아니고 국민의 삶을 보살피는 것이 꿈이 되어야 한다.

 

꿈을 이루려면 왜 그 꿈을 갖게 되었는지 생각해 봐야 하는 것이다.
