Intrinsic purpose and continuity

Young people, young leaders, and those who have just become leaders, if not young, are busy. Because of hope and duty to do what must be done, they are sincere, daring and rational. However, if he grows older or stays in power for a long time, his empathy decreases, his ego becomes stronger, and his body and mind become dull.

In some cases, the older powerful men of a less modern country make strange judgments like the leader of a cult. He is so narcissistic that he is mistaken for a great man. The public is afraid of physical restraint and creates a belief in the leader through self-hypnosis. But when faith is broken, the public quickly becomes a mob betraying its leader.

For years, I observed various environments while driving buses in different cities. Those who urge bus drivers to hurry or make a fuss on the bus are almost middle-aged people. When you look at their faces, their eyes are scattered and their complexion is not good. Moreover, Korea has trained many small dictators through its long military government. It has nothing to do with their educational background. When I was a beginner in society, I was shocked to learn that the world of middle-aged intellectuals was mostly immersed in power relations.

organizations with clear goals and clear roles in their role will have an amazingly large dynamic. Each member’s capabilities complement each other and produce great results throughout the organization. So how do we make our goals clear? First of all, determining an essential goal can be one way.

Leaders of liberal countries could be accused of being overly pragmatic. But I think that if they don’t forget their purpose and have persistence, they can be of great help to the nation and people. Of course, the same goes for the leader of a transitional state who moves from a totalitarian state to a liberal one.

In the White House seminar room in 1962, historian David Harbert Donald criticized President John Kennedy for being overly pragmatic. Later, when President Kennedy was criticized for being lukewarm about human rights issues, he was quoted as saying. “ It’ll take time, but I’m sure I’ll do all this.”

However, it is likely that the focus on ideology or popularity with the public will lead to the problem of forgetting both purpose and continuity.
