In countries without resources, relationships create national power. Such a country will cooperate with each other if its neighboring countries have an unparalleled power, but if its neighboring countries are weak, they will surely invade. The mode of invasion appears in many forms. Japan has taken the way of economic invasion in time for the times. Such an invasion by Japan is an inevitable fate for Korea, which has been gradual or sudden. Sometimes conservatives in korea say they should accept Japan’s demands to some extent and appease Japan in order to maintain good relations with Japan. However, Koreans who know Japan well must be intuitively aware that it is inevitable somehow or someday.
In fact, Japan was in a hurry. Moreover, the gloomy political leader, Abe, suffered a disaster during his tenure. It is different from Tanaka Kacuaii, a colorful political leader, when Japan emerged as the second-largest economy in the 1970s. Tanaka Kacuaii, who graduated only from elementary school, is known to have a politics that moved with men’s heartstrings because of his strong intuition and sense. But Abe seems to lack that. Perhaps Abe had been bedridden for days with a solemn determination to save Japan on its way to its ruin before starting a trade war.
But by the early 1980s, the faint stirrings of nationalism could again be detected. There were section of the older generation who had never accepted the enormity of Japan’s war crimes, and sections of the younger who were not prepared to accept guilt for the sins of their fathers. Many of the children of the Land of Rising Sun wanted their “ natural” place under the sun of the postwar world.
A flexible view of the constitution became the norm, and slowly the Japanese Self-Defence Force were turned into a modern fighting unit. This happened as the rise of China was becoming increasingly apparent, and so the Americans, realizing they going to need military allies in the Pacific region, were prepared to accept a remilitarized Japan.

Now there must have been a change in the idea that Japan’s main enemy is China alone. If the two Koreas cooperate, Japan’s significance as a U.S. security alliance will be removed. The U.S. will be bound by views on the Korean Peninsula and China will be in response. Koreans will soon be revived, thinking that they will have to go through it anyway. However, Japan will make the difficult situation more difficult, which will speed up the downturn. in the games of first and second place, second place may be more enjoyable. It was Japan that made the battlefield.
자원이 없는 나라는 관계에서 국력을 창조해 나간다. 그런 나라는 주변 국가가 비슷한 힘을 가지면 상호 협력하지만 약소국일 경우엔 반드시 침략한다. 침략의 방식은 여러 가지 형태로 나타난다. 일본은 시대의 방식에 맞게 경제침략의 방법을 택했다. 한국은 그런 침략이 점진적이며 산발적이던 아니면 지금처럼 돌발적이든 일본의 손아귀를 피할 수 없는 운명과 같은 것으로 받아들여야 했을 것이다. 간혹 한국내의 보수파들은 일본과의 좋은 관계를 계속 유지해 나가기 위해서 일본의 요구를 어느 정도 달래고 수용해야 한다는 의견을 내놓지만 일본을 너무 잘 알고 있는 한국민들은 어떻게든 또는 언젠가는 피할 수 없는 일임을 직관적으로 알고 있을 것이다.
사실 일본은 다급했다. 더구나 우울한 정치지도자 아베는 재임 기간 중에 나쁜 환란을 겪었다. 70년대 일본이 제 2의 경제대국으로 부상 했을 때의 화려한 정치지도자 다나까 가꾸에이(田中角榮)의 ‘남자의 심금을 울려주는’ 정치를 할 수 없는 지도자다. 초등학교만 졸업한 다나카 가꾸에이는 직관과 분별력이 강했다. 그러나 아베는 그런 점이 좀 부족한 듯하다. 아마 이런 결정을 내리기전 망국의 길로 가는 나라를 어떻게든 일으켜봐야 한다는 비장한 결심으로 몇날 몇일을 끙끙 앓아 누워있었을 것이다.
그런데 1980년대 초반부터 희미하게나나 스멀스멀 고개를 들고 있는 민족주의가 감지되었다. 일본에는 일본이 전범국가라는 사실을 결코 받아들이지 않았던 노년 세대와, 부모 세대가 저지른 죄를 받아들이지 않았던 젊은 세대가 있다. 전후 세계에서 이 태양이 떠오르는 나라의 많은 자손들은 태양의 아래라는 자연스러운 자리를 잡기를 바랐다.
헌법을 보다 유연하게 해석하는 입장도 정해졌다. 그리하여 자위대는 조금씩 현대식 전투 부대로 탈바꿈하고 있다. 이 현상은 중국의 부상이 점점 더 가시화되면서 그만큼 가중되고 있다. 동시에 현재 태평양 지역에서 군사 동맹이 더욱 절실해진 미국은 일본의 재무장을 받아들일 채비가 되어 있다.

이제는 일본의 주적이 중국뿐이라는 생각에 변화가 생겼을 것이다. 남북한이 협력하게 되면 미국의 안보동맹으로서의 일본은 의미가 없어지고 미국은 한반도에 관점이 묶일 것이다. 중국 역시 이에 대응해서 한반도에 집중할 것이다. 한국민들은 “맞을 매라면 일찌감치 맞자”라는 생각을 가지고 회생할 것이고, 일본은 어려운 상황을 더욱 어렵게 만들어 침체가 가속화될 것이다. 아마 1등과 2등의 게임에서 2등이 더 즐거운 상황이 만들어질 수도 있는 일이다. 그런 게임의 장을 만든 것은 싸우기 좋아하는 일본이다.
