I read a lot of passing essays while studying for the bar exam for a while in my youth, and there were still many memorable contents. So far, I have introduced some things indirectly, but there were also a lot of passing essays suggesting the possibility that the lawyers who went wrong enough to say that they ruined the country. In particular, although successful applicants for the bar exam are excellent for a lawyer, they often expect that there will be many things that will cause social problems if they deviate from the essence of a lawyer (for example, becoming a politician).
One of the biggest problems facing Korean society is becoming a politician without any development after becoming a legal professional. And they will naturally become conservative and settle down and put a brake on the nature of a society that needs creation and development. Perhaps many citizens have felt the fact that the good brains of their youth were not consistently maintained until middle age, or that the Korean education system in the past was not very future-oriented.
Naturally, leaders of the state and society are those who must work for the state and society, not those who work for themselves. However, politicians who used to be legal professionals (especially those who used to be prosecutors) seem to work a lot for themselves and for inner circles within the prosecution.
Naturally, national and social leaders should be able to project their views on various fields, including people's livelihoods, the economy, history, geography and science. Yet a lawyer-turned-politician is prone to legally correct but morally reprehensible behavior.
You can see how difficult it is to change the perspective that humans have learned for a long time by looking at the contents of a certain bar exam pass.
One examinee took the second essay test for the bar exam, and it was said that the question of summarizing the thoughts of Lao-tzu and Zhang-tzu was asked due to the summary problem of the national ethics (national philosophy). Naturally, it was a matter of discussing the Taoism of Lao-tzu and Zhang-tzu. At that time, there were many people who studied for an average of 2 years and an average of 4 years and 10 years more in the long term, no matter how early the bar exam was. Therefore, among the test takers, those who passed early were called the "sojang(yong)" and those who hung on to their test lives in the long run were called "nojang(old)" However, the examinee in this question seemed to be mistakenly associated with the problem of thinking about older people with similar Korean pronunciations. The examinee is said to have left the test site after describing the thought of Gyeongno (the idea of honoring the elderly). Fortunately, it is said that he properly answered other test questions and passed.
It was a content that tells us that if you think about something for a long time, your perspective will have path dependence.
I'm saying this in case anyone would say I'm criticizing legal professionals because I didn't pass the bar exam, but I've read a lot of books, including geography, economics, philosophy, engineering, technology, sociology, and psychology, to focus on the issues of relations between South Korea and North Korea and broaden my perspective. So I can always describe a few pages of A4 on Lao-tzu and Zhangjiajian ideas. However, I refrained from discussing Eastern thought in order to have a reasonable attitude. Oriental thought overly reflects vertical social relations. Therefore, in order for society to develop, we need to have some manners to listen carefully to Eastern thought.
Many examinees who studied for the bar exam in the past were immersed in Eastern thought as a breakthrough in the pain of their long-term examination life. Grotesques often gathered nearby under the guise of Eastern philosophers or religious people. I have experienced those people. Philosophy, however, is not a faith that seeks blessings. Philosophy is the process of thinking and seeking answers on one's own. Grotesques that gaslight the weak-hearted and wander like ghosts are not philosophers.
An appendix introduces an interesting story about path dependence.
The mother was handing out the cake to her daughter and son. The mother gave the taller sister a bigger share, and the son insisted. "If you give her a bigger share, the gap between my sister and I will widen!"
