I lived in various types of cities under the pretext of work or technical training. I used to observe how the cultural characteristics of different cities and the behavior of citizens and the form of cities were related to each other. I have searched in the midst of a life of distraction, and I have learned that many things connect with one another to create civil behavior.
The young and the old are very different. Korea’s economic growth has progressed rapidly. The middle-aged and over-aged generations who spent their youth in those days are ideologically shaped by the ideas of those days. Such problems have become a reality in Japan and Korea is on a similar path.
There is something you should be careful about as you get older. The characteristics associated with one’s aging should not be radicalized for a cause such as ideology or creative excuse. I felt something while working as a bus driver for many years. Passengers who rushed or made unreasonable complaints were mostly middle-aged or older. In the past, the atmosphere of society, which was fast moving in the era of economic growth, had become habitual. Such a phenomenon was particularly severe in light industry-oriented cities. The manufacturing-oriented industrial structure of the past centered on speed was reflected in urban and human characteristics.
Sometimes politicians or religious people turn social crisis into conflict with radical verbal and irrational logic. Perhaps it is due to the fact that the problems of old people(bad health) and the problems of the industrial society in the past are reflected in the importance of speed.
There are many old people around me who always try and live young because they are always gentle. Such people have a more future-oriented mind than in the past. Such a mindset slows down aging.
