It is said that Germany's economy will overtake Japan soon. No matter how difficult the world economy is, the German economy always grows. The reason why Germany is strong is that it is a country of engineering that is superior to ideology.

War and conflict are rampant in the world these days. The reasons are 1) ideology 2) conservative leaders' tendency to conflict 3) temperament of leaders who are older than middle-aged age. Of course, there is support from people of the same disposition. The tendency of the people cannot be ignored. This is because it rationalizes the tendencies of leaders.

 

The reason why Germany unified is because of its rational national orientation. This is because Germans were able to overcome ideological prejudice, stereotypes, or inertia quickly. The reason why she was able to work for a long time as Chancellor of Germany, an engineer (Merkel) from East Germany, shortly after the unification, is because of Germany's rational tendency. Compared to Korea, Korea has a long way to go. Before talking about unification on the Korean Peninsula, we should first look back on social tendencies contaminated with ideological concepts.

 

Jurgen Habermas, a philosopher of the Frankfurt School in Germany, says that in our everyday world, communication is conducted aimed at a valid agreement, not violence and coercion, and he calls this rationality of communication.

 

Disruption is caused by corrupt ideas, and peace is brought by healthy substance.

 

독일인의 통일 / 하버마스

독일의 경제 규모가 일본을 추월할 날이 멀지 않았다고 한다. 세계경제가 아무리 어려워도 독일 경제는 항상 굳건하다. 관념보다는 실질이 살아 있는 공학의 나라답다.

 

요즘 발생한 세계의 갈등의 원인은 이념이나 보수화된 지도자들의 갈등성향, 심지어는 중장년을 넘어서는 연령대인 지도자들의 기질까지 원인으로 생각한다. 물론 그 바탕에는 같은 성향을 가진 국민들의 지지가 있다. 국민들의 성향을 무시할 수 없다. 지도자들의 성향을 합리화 시켜주기 때문이다.

 

독일 통일은 합리적인 국민 성향에 힘입은 바 있다. 이념적인 편견이나 고정관념 또는 타성을 빨리 극복할 수 있었기 때문이다. 통일 되고 나서 얼마 안 지나서 동독 출신 공학자(메르켈)가 총리로 연임할 수 있는 이유도 독일의 합리적 성향 때문이다. 한국과 비교해 보면 한국은 갈 길이 멀다. 한반도 통일을 이야기하기 전에 이념과 같은 관념으로 오염된 사회성향을 먼저 돌아봐야 한다.

 

독일 프랑크푸르트 학파의 철학자 하바마스(Jurgen Habermas)는 우리의 일상세계에서는 폭력과 강제성이 아닌 타당한 합의를 목표로 한 의사소통이 진행된다고 말하고 이것을 의사소통의 합리성이라고 말한다.

 

분란은 관념이 일으키고 평화는 실질이 가져온다.       

Rigidity and Scalability / Goethe

Goethe, a great writer, is said to have said "brighter light" just before his deathbed. Napoleon, who lived a passionate life, said, "Genius is a fireball from the sky," met Goethe and murmured, "Only he is human." Napoleon seems to have discovered constant passion and inner territory in Goethe. It can be said that Napoleon's inner self and Goethe's inner self formed a consensus.

 

Rigidity narrows the position. Rigid organizations and humans cease to expand and develop. If someone puts up a strong ideological and religious position, they become conservative and stop developing. In particular, if the political position is rigid with ideology, the state and society are found to be on the decline. The reality of the world is like that these days.

 

Politics of major powers that divided the world into the Cold War, Japanese politics that maintain conservative attitudes, Korean politics that undermines public interest with ideological causes, and North Korean politics that emphasize ideological armament all need relaxation(or ad hoc).

 

When I look back on the past,

Korea has many difficulties to solve both economically and international relations. I thought that there would be many difficulties if the rigid prosecution organization was involved in politics with a domestic political perspective. Looking at the results, there is also no light. The current government seems to have failed not on political issues but on rationality.

As international conditions are gloomy due to the new Cold War, North Korea is again emphasizing ideological armament. However, more positive and future-oriented values should be put forward. The reason why major powers have driven the world to a new Cold War is that they have failed to come up with future-oriented values.

경직과 확장성 / 괴테

대문호인 괴테는 임종직전에 “더 밝은 빛을”이라고 말했다고 한다. ‘천재는 하늘에서 떨어진 불덩어리’라고 하며 열정의 삶을 살던 나폴레옹은 괴테를 만나보고 “그야말로 인간이다“라고 중얼거렸다고 한다. 나폴레옹은 괴테에게서 끊임없는 열정과 내면의 영토를 발견했던 것 같다. 나폴레옹의 내면과 괴테의 내면이 공감대를 형성한 장면이라고 할 수 있겠다.

 

경직되어 있으면 입지가 좁아진다. 경직된 조직과 인간은 확장과 발전이 멈춘다. 이념과 종교적 입장을 강하게 내세우면 보수적이 되고 발전이 멈춘다. 특히 정치적인 입장이 이념으로 경직되면 국가와 사회가 쇠락의 길로 접어드는 것을 발견하게 된다. 요즘 전 세계의 현실이 그와 같다.

 

냉전 시절로 세계를 양분해 버린 강대국 정치, 보수적 태도를 견지하는 일본정치, 이념적인 명분으로 공익성을 저해하는 한국정치, 다시 사상무장을 강조하는 북한정치는 모두 이완(ad hoc)이 필요하다.

 

지나간 일을 회상해 보면

 

푸틴 대통령과 러시아 정보국이 우크라이나와 러시아 그리고 국제관계를 잘 파악을 했으면 희생이 큰 전쟁이 없었을 것이다. 정보활동의 경직성에 대해서는 오래 전에 한국 정보부와 관련해서 많이 언급했고 그 당시 러시아 정보부에서도 자주 방문하였는데, 결국 일이 이 지경이 되었다.

한국은 경제적으로나 국제관계에 있어서 해결하기 어려운 일이 많다. 경직된 검찰 조직이 국내정치적 관점을 가지고 정치에 관여하면 어려운 일이 많을 것이라는 생각도 했는데, 역시 빛이 보이지 않는다. 정치적인 문제가 아니라 합리성의 문제에서 실패한 것 같다.

국제적인 여건이 새로운 냉전으로 암울해지자 북한은 다시 사상무장을 강조하고 있는데, 좀 더 긍정적이고 미래지향적인 가치를 내세워야 한다. 강대국들이 세계를 신 냉전으로 몰고 간 이유는 미래지향적인 가치를 내놓지 못한 이유다.
