A female student from the Department of Political Science living next door left her bookshelf when she graduated. I always had a lack of bookshelf because I had a lot of books, so I brought it and used it. On the side of the bookshelf, it was written on a white pen, "The basic ideology of politics is autonomy," and "Let's be the best anywhere OHJ." Modern politics was indicating that the ideology of democracy based on autonomous consciousness and autonomous behavior was ideal.

In my youth, there was a time when I closely observed and analyzed the behavior of religious people in order to think about ideological issues and religious issues similar in nature. It was not originally intended, but I had a lot of antipathy to the religious people's ability to confuse believers, so I pretended to be brainwashed abnormally, but ended with a heavy warning, "Stop it now." Perhaps many of the writings that have been written over the past 20 years are such problems. This is because I saw such a thing about ideology and the Korean Peninsula suffered the most damage.

When the general public "confront" religious people, the general public loses. This is because ordinary people are busy living, but religious people devote all their time and passion. I hated being unfair when I was young. But religious people very often jump into the realm of politics. It may be one of the chronic social problems that the Republic of Korea is experiencing. Although there is an article written someday, politics, religion, and fraud have a common part of 'imagination'. Therefore, if each role is not clearly distinguished, there is a problem that the boundaries become ambiguous. In addition, in a society that underestimates legal work like Korea, there are bound to be many people who fully demonstrate their imagination.

옆집에 사는 정치학과 학생이 졸업을 하면서 책장을 버리고 갔다. 나는 책이 많아 항상 책장이 부족하였으므로 내가 가져다 사용했다. 그 책장의 옆면에는 화이트 펜으로 “정치학의 기본이념은 자율” “어디서든 최고가 되자 O H J”라고 써져 있었다. 현대 정치는 자율적 의식과 자율적 행동이 바탕이 된 민주주의 이념을 이상으로 삼고 있음을 알려 주고 있었다.

 

청년기에 이념문제와 결부해 종교문제를 생각하기 위해서 종교인들의 행태를 유심히 관찰 분석했던 시절이 있었다. 원래 의도 했던 것은 아니지만 신자들을 혼미하게 만드는 종교인들의 능력에 반감을 많이 가지고 있던 중이라서 가스라이팅 당하는 척 하다가 “이제 좀 그만해라”라는 묵직한 경고의 한마디로 종결을 짓곤 하였다. 아마 지난 20년 가까운 시간 동안 써 온 글 중의 많은 부분이 그런 문제일 것이다. 이념에 관하여 그런 일을 보았고 한반도는 가장 큰 피해를 입었기 때문이다.

종교인들과 예의 “대립”하게 되면 일반인은 패배한다. 일반인은 생업에 바쁘지만 종교인은 모든 시간과 열정을 투입하여 덤비기 때문이다. 나는 청년기에 그 불공평함이 굉장히 괘씸했다. 그런데 그 종교인들이 매우 자주 정치의 영역에 뛰어든다. 대한민국이 앓고 있는 만성적인 사회문제중의 하나일 것이다. 언젠가 쓴 글이 있지만은 정치와 종교와 사기는 “상상력”이라는 공통부분을 가지고 있다. 그래서 각자의 역할을 명확하게 구분 짓지 않으면 경계가 모호해지는 문제가 있다. 더구나 한국처럼 정당한 근로를 얕보는 사회에서는 능력껏 상상력을 발휘하는 사람들이 많을 수밖에 없는 것이다.

About 20 years ago, I taught economics for college entrance students at a private academy, and I was surprised at the level of exceeding the actual university textbook, "Economic Principle." The legal subjects of test takers who wanted to become police officials also exceeded the level of the previous judicial exam. I think it has developed even more now. I often check books at bookstores, and it was really like that. Perhaps the development of Korea is due to the rapid development of human resources.

If North Korea is not in good conditions in foreign relations, it would be best to grow the domestic industry and develop the economy like Singapore in the early stages of independence. However, the problem is that the ideological burden that has been accumulated for a long time is large. This is because if economic growth begins, the market economy ideology must be accepted. And this is because the people should be able to understand not only technology and knowledge, but also the institutional outline of the state and society, including the economic structure and legal structure.

 

In my opinion, in order for North Korea to maintain the identity of the state and the people and accept the market economy to some extent, it seems that it should be prioritized to make the people understand North Korea's desperate history and desperate geopolitical position. And of course, it won't be something that can change rapidly. Currently, North Korea will want even more strategic weapons such as nuclear weapons and supersonic missiles to maintain its transitional stay.

 

It seems that the Korean people of the old generation, even politicians, often disagree not only with the pace of economic growth but also with the pace of increasing technology and knowledge. This is especially true when talking about ideology. Although institutional devices such as lifelong education are being prepared, it is true that it is a big concern in Korean society.

산업사회에서 물적 자본 투자의 확장은 전형적으로 전체성장의 약 절반가량을 떠맡는다. 동아시아 경제의 기적적인 성장은 물적인 자본과 인간 자본에의 투자와 더불어 고도의 저축율과 맞물려 있다.

대략 20년 전에 사설학원에서 대학입시생들 경제학을 지도한 적이 있었는데, 실제 대학교 교재인 ‘경제원론’수준을 능가하는 수준에 놀란 적이 있다. 경찰공무원 수강생들의 법학과목도 그 이전의 사법시험 수준을 능가하고 있었다. 지금은 한층 더 발전했으리라 생각한다. 자주 서점에서 출판된 서적을 점검해보는데, 정말 그랬다. 아마 한국이 발전하게 된 것은 인적 자원의 개발이 급속하게 이루어진 까닭이라고 생각한다.

만약 북한이 대외관계적인 여건이 안 된다면 독립초기의 싱가포르처럼 국내산업을 성장시켜 경제발전을 하는 방법이 최선일 것이다. 하지만 오랫동안 축적되어 온 이념적인 부담이 큰 것이 문제다. 경제성장을 시작한다면 시장경제 이념을 받아들여야 하기 때문이다. 국민들이 기술이나 지식뿐만 아니라 경제구조와 법률구조를 비롯하여 국가와 사회의 제도적인 윤곽을 이해할 수 있어야 하기 때문이다.

 

내 의견이지만 북한이 국가와 국민의 동일성을 유지하고 시장 경제를 어느 정도 수용하기 위해서는 국민들에게 북한의 절박한 역사와 절박한 지정학적인 위치를 국민들에게 이해시키는 것이 우선되어야 할 것 같다. 그리고 물론 급격하게 변화할 수 있는 일은 아닐 것이다. 현재 북한은 과도기적인 체재를 유지하기 위해서 핵무장이나 초음속 미사일 같은 전략 무기의 필요성을 한층 더 원할 것이다.

 

구세대의 한국 국민들, 심지어는 정치인들도 경제성장속도 뿐만이 아니라 기술과 지식의 수준이 높아지는 속도와 불협화음을 내는 경우가 많은 것 같다. 특히 이념을 이야기 한다면 더욱 그렇다. 평생교육 등의 제도적인 장치가 마련되고 있긴 하지만 한국사회의 커다란 고민인 것은 사실이다.

It is said that the era of the New Cold War has come these days. It may be a coincidence, but the leaders of each country who participated in the Cold War are showing repeated historical aspects. When looking at the situation in Korea, either in real life or ahead of the presidential election, the left and right ideological perspectives seem to be shifting to pragmatism or generational differences.

 

In the library, an old man was studying hard wearing magnifying glasses. The old man seemed to read a faded classic over and over again. As I got older, I started studying high-tech engineering, and I couldn't understand the elderly who were deeply sucked into the past. This is because I have seen a lot of people automatically have path dependence unless they diligently resist their nature, where their bodies and minds are aging.

 

Originally, conservative politics should also be based on the will to reform. This is because efforts for growth and development are the essence of history regardless of time and place. People with conservative views are likely to neglect publicity. This is because public space is misunderstood as a communist political space. I think political ambitions have long caused misunderstandings in the people. In Korea, which suffered the most damage from the Cold War, there was a situation where it was understood but not understood.

 

Hannah Arendt (1906 – 1975), a Jewish political thinker from Germany, says that in order to participate in the public space, interest in humans dominating humans must be excluded. This is because freedom, not sovereignty, is important in public spaces.

 

Society, the state, and even the global community should be considered to exist to give human practical freedom and diversity. However, older people still have many misunderstandings about the problem. This is because they cannot resist to escape consciousness in the long-established domination, controlled relationship, and power relationship

 

Looking at the English book of development economics, which I found hard with the North Korean economy in mind, I think I should diligently resist path dependence even if I am not a North Korean, a politician, an economist, or rich. The real enemy is 'path dependence'.

These days, when I went to the library again, I couldn't see the old man in the past. Did he die? I also thought that. When I saw the old man, I was reminded of Mao Zedong, who was reading a Chinese classics with a magnifying glass until the end, and as a modern leader, Mao Zedong has expressed his view that there was a problem.

요즘 신냉전 시대가 왔다고 한다. 우연의 일치인지는 모르지만 냉전에 참여한 각국 지도자들은 반복된 역사적인 모습을 보여주고 있다. 실생활에서 아니면 대통령 선거를 앞둔 한국에서의 상황을 살펴볼 때 좌우 이념적인 관점이 실용주의나 세대차이등으로 옮겨가고 있는 것 같다.

 

도서관에서 한 노인분이 돋보기를 쓰고 열심히 공부를 하고 있었다. 색이 다 바랜 고전 한 권을 반복해서 보는 듯 했다. 나이가 들면서 첨단 공학에 입문한 나는 과거의 시대로 깊이 빨려 들어가는 노인 분을 이해하면서도 이해가 안 되었다. 몸과 마음이 노화되어가는 자신의 본성에 부지런히 저항하지 않으면 자동적으로 경로의존성을 가지는 모습을 많이 보아왔기 때문이다.

 

원래 보수도 개혁의지가 바탕이 되어야 한다. 성장과 발전을 위한 노력이 존재하는 역사의 본질이기 때문이다. 보수적인 견해를 가진 사람들은 공공성을 소홀히 하기 쉽다. 공적 공간을 공산주의 정치공간으로 오해하기 때문이다. 정치적인 야망들이 오랫동안 국민들에게 오해를 심어주었다는 생각이 드는데, 냉전의 피해를 가장 많이 본 한국에서 이해하면서도 이해가 안 되는 상황이 생긴 것이다.

 

독일 출신의 유태인 정치사상가 한나 아렌트(Hannah Arendt 1906 – 1975)는 공적 공간에 참여하기 위해서 인간이 인간을 지배하는 것에 대한 관심이 배제되어야 한다고 말한다. 공적 공간에서는 주권이 아니라 자유가 중요하기 때문이라는 것이다.

 

사회와 국가, 심지어는 지구공동체조차도 인간의 실질적인 자유와 다양성을 부여하기 위해 존재하는 것으로 생각해야 한다. 그러나 나이든 사람들은 그 문제에 관해서 아직도 많은 오해를 한다. 오래전에 설정된 지배와 피지배 관계, 권력관계 등에서 의식이 벗어나도록 저항을 하지 못하기 때문이다.

 

북한 경제를 염두에 두고 어렵게 구한 개발경제학 영문원서를 보면서 북한민도 아니고 정치가도 아니고 경제학자도 아니고 부유하지도 않으면서 나 한 사람만이라도 경로 의존성에 부지런히 저항해야 한다는 생각을 하고 있다. 진정한 적은 ‘경로의존성’이다.

요즘 다시 그 도서관에 가 보니 예의 그 노인 분이 보이지 않았다. 돌아가셨을까? 하는 생각도 들었다. 그 노인 분을 보고 최후까지 돋보기를 쓰고서 중국 고전을 읽고 있던 마오쩌뚱을 연상했는데, 현대적 지도자로서 마오쩌둥은 문제가 있었다는 견해를 많이 밝혀 왔다.
